I want to thank all who helped substitute for me while I was away. A special thanks to Owen, Brittney Gibbs, and the YMCA staff for helping!!!!!
Developmental, Junior Prep, Junior, Junior Elite, Senior-It looks like we have 2 weeks of official winter swimming left (last day of practice Thursday May 27) and then one week off and then summer league pratice begins Monday, June 7. I hope that all of you will
want to continue to swim this summer for our summer swim team. We are in the process of setting times to swim Colington Harbor and Duck Country Club!! Practice will be held in the evenings in 2 sessions during this last week of school- June 7-12 and continuing during the next 7 following weeks. You may come as much or as little as you can!! 10 and Unders will practice from 6-7:00 PM while 11 and older swimmers swim from 7:00-8:00PM- Mon-Thursday evenings.
The USA early practice will begin in the morning for Junior Elite & Senior Practice Groups the week of June 15 at 6:30 -8:00 a.m. MTTH. Please see Coach Laura if you do not know if this is an appropriate time for you to practice. This is a very structured practice usually only for those who are interested in maintaining training levels in preparation for USA meets.
Upcoming changes and events:
Tuesday, May 18- Open registration at YMCA for Summer Swim Team, Y-Waves, in lobby during normal swim practice hours
Thursday, May 27th- Last day regular winter season practice
Monday, June 7- First day of summer league practice: 6-7PM- 10 and unders / 7-8PM- 11 and older swimmers. USA swimmers may also attend this week during the evening.
Monday, June 15- First morning practice for Junior Elite & Senior USA swimmers 6:30-8:00 a.m.
Please bring water or sport drink to all practices.
