Please be advised of the practices.  There has been an optional practice for Thursday added, and it is for 9 & olders.

--  The meet invitation for the ODAC age group meet has been posted at the YMCA.  If you are not signed up already, and you are wanting to go, please sign up ASAP.

--  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.

These are the messages for the week of December 17 - 23, 2007

We are on regular practice schedules for the week with 2 changes

1.  Saturday morning practice is from 

8 – 10AM 12 & U's

8 – 11AM 13 & O's

2.  Sunday's practice will be CANCELED.

--  The meet sign-up sheet for the ODAC Age Group meet ( Jan. 11 - 13, 2008 ) is posted at the YMCA. 

--  The WAC Senior meet ( Jan. 18 - 20, 2008 ) sign-up sheet is posted at the YMCA. 

Please start to check your calenders, and make sure you sign up if you are able to participate.

--  Thanks again to the Keenan family for hosting yet another great Christmas party.  Hope everyone that came had a wonderful time.

OBX Swim Club Annapolis Holiday Invitational Meet Results 12-2007

The Outer Banks Swim Club participated in the Annapolis Swim Club Holiday Invitational held in Annapolis MD December 7-9, 2007.  You can find Meet Results , New Time Standards and updated Team Records .  Great job swimmers.

   

 

Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of December 10 - 16, 2007

All groups are on regular practice schedule for the week with two changes

--  Friday's practice is canceled for all groups because of the team's Christmas Party.

--  Seniors -- NO weights until next Tuesday morning

Information and Directions to party are as follows:

When:  Friday December 14, 2007 from 5:00 - 8:00PM

Where:  4173 Clubhouse Estates Dr. in Kitty Hawk

What to bring:  8 & Unders -- Cold horsd'oeurve

                        9 - 12 yr olds -- Hot horsd'oeurve

                        Seniors -- Desserts

               *****  Everyone needs to bring their favorite beverage (Ice will be provided)  *****

Directions:  Go W on Eckner (PrintPlus is on the corner)

                  RIGHT on Clubhouse Estates  Drive; it's the 2nd house on the Right

     Congratulations to all swimmers that participated in the Annapolis Meet this past weekend.

--  Swimmers that swam include:  Brittney Gibbs, Arielle Pickrel, Drew Keenan, Tyler Daughtry, Rachel Miller, Henry Roach, Elise Gibbs, Jaquelyn Moore, Jon Roach, Kaitlyn Godsey, Sarah Mandis, and Kate Donati. 

Once again our team posted  45 NEW TEAM RECORDS!!!! 

Drew Keenan's 1000 Freestyle was a Brand New and 1st Ever SECTIONAL cut for the OBX family.  Drew went (10:07.56)

Elise Gibbs set her 1st ever "A" time in the 50 Freestyle going (29.28)

Kaitlyn Godsey went a LTB in her 500 Freestyle on Sunday breaking 7:00 and going (6:52.77)

Brittney Gibbs and Rachel Miller both received "A" times in their 100 Fly events Brittney (1:05.60) and Rachel (1:06.74).

--  All other swims this past weekend were also very good, and everyone should be proud.

Weekly Update

These are the messages for the week of December 3 - 9, 2007

The practice schedule is a little messy, so please advise:

-- Regular practice schedule for Monday - Wednesday for all groups.

-- There will be a Thursday morning practice for all Annapolis swimmers.  Times will be announced on your itinerary sheets. 

-- For all other swimmers; there will be NO practice Thursday - Sunday due to the Annapolis meet, so have a great break.

All swimmers that participated in this last weekend's WAC B/C mini meet swam very well.  Among the top swims were Tori Lowe's (2) new "B" times in the 50 Back and 100 Free.  Another great swim was from Gracie Deichler in the 100 Back getting her "B" time.  Great Job to all swimmers.

Swimmers that are going to Annapolis;  there will be an itinerary sheet for the weekend given out, so please review it, know it, and understand it before you go up North.

REMINDER:  Christmas Party is on Friday December 14, 2007.  Please look for information and invitations in your folders Mon or Tues.
